The importance of freedom of expression

Let's start with the fact that freedom of expression is very important in society, since it is an important and indispensable right, it is a right in which you can express your opinion and your way of thinking without fear of being punished or hurt, but freedom of expression It also carries a great responsibility and duties, in the following text I tell you more.

Freedom of expression is a fundamental right of people to say something without fear of being hurt or affected, freedom of expression is very important because it helps to reach agreements and ideas with people in society.

Freedom of expression has duties and responsibilities, because to protect the rights of the state, government, public order and health of society. Well, there are several people who support in favor of war, incite racial and religious violence, to invite violence and non-legal acts.

Two articles for the constitution of Ecuador on freedom of expression

1. Freedom of expression in all its forms and manifestations: It is a fundamental and inalienable right, inherent to all people. It is also an indispensable requirement for the very existence of a democratic society.

2. Everyone has the right to freely seek, receive and disseminate information and opinions in the terms stipulated in art. 13 of the American Convention on Human Rights: All persons must have equal opportunities to receive, seek and impart information by any means of communication without discrimination, for any reason, including those of race, color, religion, sex, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, economic position, birth or any other social condition.

In conclusion Freedom is a right as it could also be an obligation for people, because you are free to say your way of thinking and your opinion without being affected in any way but you must also have a lot of responsibility, there are several people who with their expression help and incite war, racism, violence, etc.

You should always be a responsible person but without fear of expressing your opinion.
